Our Beginning Ralph's Radio Ltd. was founded in 1949. Since 1954 the company has been owned and operated by the Rurak family. Employing over 45 employees, the company has grown significantly over the last 52 years. Ralph's main branch, located at 220 East 1st Avenue in Vancouver, houses retail and wholesale sales, installations, service and corporate sales, installations, service and corporate offices. Our Victoria branch, located at 815 View Street, houses retail and wholesale sales and installations.
Scope of BusinessThe company specializes in the sales, service and installation of mobile electronic products consisting of car audio and alarms, mobile video, cellular, satellite and wireless data communications products.
Mobile ElectronicsRalph's Radio Ltd. had its beginning repairing and installing AM car radios. Ralph's was a pioneer in Vancouver in selling and servicing car radios for both retail consumers and car dealers. Today, Ralph's is still in the forefront but with a much wider product selection including CD/cassette/MP3 players, alarms, radar detectors, equalizers and amplifiers. Ralph's also specializes in the complexities of mobile multimedia systems which include onboard navigation, information and entertainment systems as well as surveillance systems.
Wireless CommunicationsThis area specializes in most types of wireless radio communications. Products handled include cellular and satellite telephones and wire data services. These products are sold through one of two groups, retail sales and a corporate account group that specializes in handling the needs of large accounts.
Ralph's Radio Ltd. is a TELUS Mobility Centre and a dealer for the Globalstar, Infosat HSI, Inmarsat, Iridium and MSAT satellite networks.
Service and InstallationThis area specializes in servicing and installing all types of mobile electronics. Our service department handles a vast majority of major manufacture's product, both in and out of warranty. The installation department specializes in custom fabrication, working with wood, plastic and metal. Installations can be done in cars, trucks, and small and large boats and tractors. A fleet of mobile trucks is used for off premise service and installation. This department also carries the largest selection of installation parts in Western Canada.
