A 1991 Honda Civic competition car built by Ralph’s Radio. This car has been to numerous World Finals all over the world and scored the highest points in this region every year it competed. Having scored perfect as scored perfect for sound quality can get, this car was an amazing accomplishment. |
| The source of the stereo starts with an Alpine CDA7949 and feeds into the Alpine equalizer which sits below. Both units are flush mounted for cosmetic appeal. A 110 volt converter is installed next to the lighter for power needed to run both testing equipment for tuning, and cleaning equipment at shows. |

For the front stage an 8” MB Quart component set was used along with an ambient tweeter in the top pillar to raise and widen the stage. Due to the lack of room in the kick panel, a custom enclosure for the 8” mid bass was extended through the fender and into the wheel well. |
| With the grill removed, the front speakers show the 8” speaker and lower tweeter. The speaker is accented with a Plexiglas ring and blue neon lights as used throughout the car. |
In the passenger side floor under glass and with blue neon is the equalizer for the system with easy tuning while in the car. The 32 band EQ gave the most flexibility for fine tuning the system. |
| The back seat with covers removed reveals a display for the wiring and fuses along with the two 1 farad capacitors. All accented with blue neon and glass. In the side compartment is the CD changer. |
In its closed state the rear seat compartment looks completely stock and is fully functional. |
| The rear seat compartment with the neon on. |
All the subs are sitting on a sheet of Plexiglas to better show the neon and give the effect the subs are floating. TPlexmp sits in front of the subs with the cover on. |
| With the cover off you can see the internals of the Alpine amplifiers back. |
The one amplifier is motorized so it pivots up so you can see the other amp underneath the top one. To make room, the back seat also had to be motorized to lay down to give enough room for the amp to sit up. |
| The amp and seat in mid motorization gives you a better look at the rear seat which houses the crossovers for the front speakers on one side and the digital time alignment processor from Alpine on the other (PXAH600). |
The back end of the trunk shows two big MR-V1507 amps powering 4-10” ZR Alpine subs and a pair of MB Quart 8” components. |
| The engine bay was dressed up all with yellow to match the battery and make the engine compartment match the rest of the car. |
