Installations

2000 Land Rover Range Rover

This sport utility vehicle has a mobile entertainment system for the rear passengers designed specifically for the Range Rover. This system allows the passengers to listen to the sound of the video over the Range Rovers' audio system or over the headphones while the driver and front passenger can listen to the Range Rover's audio system. It entails:
  • Clarion VMA6491 6.4" LCD monitor
  • Clarion VDH9600 video cassette player
  • Clarion AVCR1 monitor housing painted to match the vehicles' interior exactly
  • Clarion FM100 FM modulator
  • Pair of Clarion WH100 infrared wireless headphones

This system was designed by Scott Dunnet and installed by Jimmy Yeung. The fit and finish of the monitor installation in this vehicle is absolutely flawless and does not interfere with the daily use of the vehicle.

This view is from the rear middle passenger and clearly shows the great view of the monitor offered by the Clarion AVCR1 monitor housing and the Clarion VMA6491 6.4" LCD monitor. The housing was pointed to match the vechicles' interior exactly and the location provides excellent coverage for the Clarion VDH9600 video cassette player remote control. With the Clarion system, the video cassette player can be controlled directly by aiming the wireless remote control at the monitor!

On the roof is the infrared transmitter for the Clarion WH100 infrared wireless headphones. The transmitter does not interfere with everyday use of the vehicle and provides great coverage so the headphones can be worn just about everywhere in the rear of the vehicle.
The Clarion VDH9600 video cassette player was mounted horizontally on the passenger side of the storage compartment as it fits perfectly there. The spare tire is still fully accessible and the Clarion VDH9600 video cassette player remains stable as it is mounted to the metal of the vehicle.
Jimmy's ready for a road trip in the Range Rover and the passengers will be fully entertained by the Clarion mobile entertainment system!
