Since this installation which was done in May 2001, all this equipment has been moved to a newer 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with an 8.1 liter engine. The Ford proved not to be powerful enough. The speakers in the Silverado were also upgraded to Boston Acoustics ProSeries, a remote engine starter was added to the Alpine SEC-8063 security systm, a back-up sensor was added to detect objects when in reverse, a module was interfaced to maintain the vehicles' On-Star feature, and finally, a Uniden PRO-520XL CB radio was added. I do not believe there is another vehicle on the road today in Vancouver with more mobile electronics equipment than this one! |
